Bee More MCR, is a Mancunian take on 'Humans Of New York'.

Essentially I interview people who call Manchester home, from any background, who have amazing stories to tell about their life and this incredible city.

It's designed to celebrate the amazing people of Manchester, where the city has come from and where the city is going. To encourage people to be more Mancunian.

Alex admits straight away that as a kid, she was always a tomboy favouring her brothers tracksuit bottom hand me downs to the dresses her mum would get her.

Alex lived on an estate with 8 or 9 boys as her closest friends. Playing football with them most days, on one Friday evening they said they were going to the local cricket club. Alex asked her mum if she could go, to which the answer was, please not another sport you want...

I don’t know how to start this piece without saying Kyle Walker, but not that one. So I won’t...

The namesake of the current Manchester City right back, Kyle, is one of those guys that you just can’t not get along with. One of THE genuinely funny, die hard Man City fans around.

Based in Media City, the lad from Fallowfield puts on what can only be described as a daily comedy show across his social media channels, from talking al...

Sam started doing gymnastics when she was only 6 years old, so she was always active from an early age, just more from a sports perspective. She carried the gymnastics on until she was 24 when a snapped achilles meant it was probably time to stop doing back flips.

Sam admits that after this injury, being British champion at 14 years old to then almost not having an identity again was tough.

Sam was originally from Crewe, not go...

Better late than never as I think I interviewed these guys when it didn’t go dark at 16.00. I promise I will get quicker at turning these around as I genuinely have some belters lined up that I can’t wait to share.

I still can’t believe that these two guys managed to secure a deal with Harvey Nichols with no product, no manufacturing capability, but with just a brand name, a concept and a passion.

They say never go into business...

Finally had the chance to sit down with the guys from Manchester Young Professionals! Like most of the interviews I’ve done, I can always find similarities in the situation i’m in, with the people i’m interviewing. This has never been truer than with these two. (Andrew and Rich)

Two of the nicest, down to earth, hard working lads you will meet in Manchester, along with the help of a few key individuals and some amazing sponsor...

I’d walked past Over Under so many times on Deansgate without ever going in to grab a coffee. It used to be a newsagent and I think it took me a while to realise and remember that it was now a coffee place. I’m glad I finally went in to give it a try.

I went along recently to interview the owner Ed Barry.

After chatting for about 10 minutes, I’d already realised that this guy was like a brother from another mother. Our lives w...

I walked in to the Federal site in the Northern Quarter of Manchester for the first time in January 2015. I was talking to this guy behind the counter about coffee and having a general chat about Manchester but thought nothing of it.

Several visits later, after getting hooked on the Hodson coffee blend and the ridiculously good brunch offering, I realised that the guy I was chatting to was Claudio, the owner of Federal.

This h...

The one thing I’ve always noticed about Ryan, is how much he cares. This was the longest interview I’ve done so far. Not only that, he voice recorded some additional thoughts and things he wanted to mention when he got home after the interview. All that effort just to make the interview the best we could. I genuinely believe this is the reason he’s got to where he is and why he will have a long career.

Ryan and I met about a y...

I met Louis for the first time a year ago at the launch of the Ivy in Manchester. He’s one of those people I’ve spoken to for a long time on Instagram, but had never actually met in ‘real life’.

Louis and I both have a passion for food. We would always chat about new restaurants opening in town and our photography. Similarly to how you would listen to a radio presenter, hear their voice but never actually know what they...

I’ve known Becky for over a year now, ever since she moved from Manchester House to launch 20 Stories. She’s like the annoying sister I never had and although I would never say this to her face, I’m actually really proud to call her a friend.

As we sit down to do the interview at 20 Stories on a Sunday, which is technically one of her days off, there is a wedding fair literally being set up behind us and her pho...
